Volunteer

Help us by being a Volunteer! We rely on help from many people to take care of our friends here at PCHS. Below you will find some of the things they are doing to help. Make some time and volunteer at the shelter. We need your help!

....Our Thrift Store continues to do very well, thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers and the generosity of all those who have donated goods to the shop. It has been a Tremendous Success!

....Staff and volunteers have attended a number of seminars sponsored by area shelters. The focus was on improving life for shelter dogs and making them more adoptable. Everyone came away excited and full of new ideas.

....Our Web Site (www.puthumane.org) has brought people in to adopt dogs. We even received one inquiry from Europe! Once again, we owe this success to the volunteers who make this all possible. They take the photos and do all the computer work needed to keep the site current and effective.

...A core group of volunteers has dedicated themselves to spending time walking, grooming, training and socializing our animals. All this extra TLC has helped to increase our adoption rate.

...A volunteer (who is also a certified trainer), has held a series of dog obedience classes at the shelter. These classes were quite popular and a real success! We repeat these throughout the year.
